The Calgary Flying Club is located at the Springbank Airport which is a five minute drive west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Club is nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies and only a short drive from Banff National Park. Becoming a Club Member is easy. An annual membership in the Calgary Flying Club costs only $100 (plusGST). See our rates page for details.
You don't have to be a pilot to be a part of the Club. In fact, more than half of our members don't fly - they just love having fun and want to help the Club promote public interest in aviation. You also don't have to live in Calgary. The Club has many members who live all over the World.
Members are permitted full access to the Club's facilities, training resources, and rental aircraft. Members also receive a discount on aviation fuel purchased at the Club. Our clubhouse ammenities include fuel and oil sales, a fully licensed restaurant as well as a pilot's lounge and classroom space.
Work at the Flying Club

The Calgary Flying Club is always interested in hearing from motivated, qualified individuals who are intersted in joining our team. We are always on the look out for ramp attendents, dispatchers, and instructors of all classes. If you are interested in applying for work, please send us your cover letter and resume. Prospective instructors, please email the CFI, prospective ramp attendents and dispatchers, please email dispatch.
Club Activities
Being the social bunch that we are, the Calgary Flying Club has several regular club activities that we encourage everyone to come out and get involved. Saturday Sorties are our weekly member flying events. In 2007 we formed the CFC Running Club, which is open to runners of all ages and abilities. We are also involved in a volunteer pilot program with Hope Air, a charity that works to get needy Canadians to medical care by providing free air transportation.
