Pub Night: We would like to thank Kevin Spelay for running the pub nights for the last several months. CFC appreciates all the work you’ve put in by insuring the fridge is stocked and snacks are ready! There will not be a pub night in July or August and we will start up again in the fall. We will be looking for people to run these events. If you would like to volunteer to run a pub night email Chloe at marketing@
Member Program Committee: The next meeting will be on Thursday June 14th at 7pm. We will be finishing up the planning for the Stampede breakfast and discussing the August corn roast. Hope to see you there!
IFR Ground School: CFC has been able to secure an IFR ground school through AeroCourse at a discount for our members. The poster with all the information is attached. The course will take place on June 22, 23, 24 from 9 to 5 :30pm. Speak to Dispatch if you have any questions or would like to sign up.
Fly-in: Bring your work gloves, it’s the Annual Hands Across the Border work session at the Del Bonita Airstrip (CEQ4). Park on Canadian side. Lunch provided by the Alberta Flying Farmers. This is to work the strip. Don’t bring a passport, we’re not crossing the border!
This is a joint work session by American and Canadian pilots to fix up the grass airstrip at Del Bonita that straddles the border. A potluck lunch is served. The border agents on both sides facilitate the event with the Flying Farmers and Montana Pilots Association the main organizers. More info in the attachment.
